Together with the Pirxey team, we designed and developed a comprehensive web platform and website (for both desktop and mobile), aimed at facilitating collaboration between the science and business sectors. The system supports establishing connections, initiating joint R&D and implementation projects, building teams, and sharing knowledge between universities, institutions, companies, and experts.

The project covered the full UX/UI process – from stakeholder workshops to final mockups and a complete style guide. Together with the client, we conducted a series of UX workshops, during which we identified key user needs, mapped core functionalities, and developed the information architecture. This led to a complete product documentation and a coherent design system based on the client’s branding.

The platform was designed with three main user groups in mind:

Universities, research institutions, companies.

Researchers, students, company and university staff, experts.

Responsible for managing content, access and moderation.
Users can sign up as individuals or institutional representatives. The registration process includes email verification and a guided onboarding flow that walks users through profile setup, selecting areas of interest, and linking to an organization.
Both individual and institutional users can create detailed profiles including contact information, experience, areas of collaboration, and attachments. Organizations can add team members and manage their profile content.
Users can publish announcements to find collaboration partners, invite others to projects, or share upcoming events. All content is searchable by keywords and categories, can be followed, and added to the user’s calendar.
A robust search system allows users to find announcements, events, users, and organizations based on multiple criteria. The tagging system helps users define their interests, project needs, and offered services.
The platform supports both 1:1 and group messaging between individual and institutional users. Email notifications and reminders about upcoming events are integrated to enhance communication.
Administrators can manage users, reports, and oversee platform content. They are also able to moderate activity and control visibility of platform components.

The result is a fully functional web application that enables organizations and individuals to manage their presence within a science-business collaboration ecosystem. Users can initiate partnerships, promote projects, find collaborators, and organize events – all in one place, aligned with modern UX standards.
